i am a newbie.i just registered with product sourcing a free drop shipper.now i am confused how do i upload those products + images to my website or does web plus do that for me when i put the product information in.

Product Sourcing provides a tool to upload to Ebay and other ecommerce providers, if you want to update with there products you will need to download a CSV version of the products offered on there site then use the Easy Populate tool that is available to Premium Customers. Photos on the other hand will either need to be manually uploaded to each individual product or will need to be downloaded, named with the model number of the item then zipped and uploaded using the bulk upload tool for images. If these do not match completely your pictures will not be processed.

Currently VSTORE does not provide a direct interface between these providers so the process is not automated.

How do I set up options for products? I want to sell custom turned pens and need to have my customer pick from pen type, wood type, hardware type, pen box, and some other options as well. Can you shed some light on this for me?

The way to offer options (called attributes within the admin) is by adding attribute options under Product Attributes feature in the basic or premium service. You may then add the attribute to the product in this section or by the Edit Attribute button (if you have a premium account) in the category section.

accepting payments

Q. Once a customer orders the product i'm selling , does the payment automatically go to my paypal account?

A. When a customer completes the checkout process they are redirected to Paypal for Paypal IPN, which means they actually complete the payment on Paypal's website, then are re-directed back to your store. Usually the order status is automatically updated to reflect the received payment.

You can then log into your Paypal account and should see the money in your account immediately if the customer chose to pay with a credit card, you may see a pending payment if the customer chose to pay with an Electronic Check which requires clearing through the ACH or Automated Clearing House. This can sometimes take up to 7 days but it is usually sooner. If you do not see the money in your Paypal account DO NOT send the product. Sometimes internet hackers or Theives will send you an official looking email saying they paid you with Paypal, this will sometimes look as though it came from Paypal this type of attack is called Phishing. Never click a link in the email always open your browser and navigate to http://www.paypal.com to check the validity of the email. If the funds are in your account great, ship the product.

If you click the links in the official looking email you may inadvertintly give out your sign on information without even knowing you did it. Always be safe and follow safe internet practices to protect yourself and your customers.
